Peter Bernstein – ‘Blues For Bulgaria’ Transcription
I learned this solo, featured on ‘Signs Of Life’ (1995), given the sheer number of ‘Berns-isms’ on display. Combined with a slow harmonic rhythm, this makes for an excellent study in the main man’s unique melodic vocabulary, featuring a host of ideas that can be readily extracted and applied in our own improvisations.
